Why Selja exists

Writing a new CV and cover letter for every job takes time, and many applications are sorted out by recruitment systems before a person has read them. So many people stop tailoring, and send the same CV and cover letter to every job.

Selja makes tailoring fast. You spend your time applying for more jobs you actually want, and every application matches what the employer asked for.

How it works

• Paste in the link to the job ad or its text.
• Upload the CV you have, or use one you made in Selja before.
• Answer a few short questions about what the ad asks for, if something is missing.
• Get a CV and cover letter tailored to the job, in a template recruitment systems read correctly.
• Edit, choose a template and colour, and download as PDF.

Our principles

• We never make things up. Selja does not add experience or skills you do not have. If your CV is missing something the ad asks for, we ask you, and only use what you confirm.
• Made for the Norwegian job market. The texts follow Norwegian conventions for CVs and cover letters, and also work in English when the job ad is in English.
• Clear figures. Pay figures come from Statistics Norway (SSB), and the open positions in the app come from arbeidsplassen.no.
• Easy to cancel. You can cancel any time, and we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee (terms apply).

What you can do for free

Without an account you can get a review of your whole CV (CV score), check whether your CV gets through the recruitment system for a specific job (ATS score) and use the free tools, including the pay check with figures from SSB. On the blog you will find advice on CVs, cover letters, interviews and pay.
